【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftheflashpointofpetroleumproductsinthetemperaturerangefrom40to360-CbyamanualPensky-Martensclosed-cupapparatusoranautomatedPensky-Martensclosed-cupapparatus.Note1-Flashpointdeterminationasabove250?Ccanbeperformed,however,theprecisionshavenotbeendeterminedabovethistemperature.Forresidualfuels,precisionshavenotbeendeterminedforflashpointsabove100?C.ProcedureAisapplicabletodistillatefuels(diesel,kerosine,heatingoil,turbinefuels),newlubricatingoils,andotherhomogeneouspetroleumliquidsnotincludedinthescopeofProcedureB.ProcedureBisapplicabletoresidualfueloils,cutbackresidua,usedlubricatingoils,mixturesofpetroleumliquidswithsolids,petroleumliquidsthattendtoformasurfacefilmundertestconditions,orarepetroleumliquidsofsuchkinematicviscositythattheyarenotuniformlyheatedunderthestirringandheatingconditionsofProcedureA.Thesetestmethodsisapplicableforthedetectionofcontaminationofrelativelynonvolatileornonflammablematerialswithvolatileorflammablematerials.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note2-IthasbeencommonpracticeinflashpointstandardsformanydecadestoalternatelyuseaC-scaleoranF-scalethermometerfortemperaturemeasurement.Althoughthescalesarecloseinincrements,theyarenotequivalent.BecausetheF-scalethermometerusedinthisprocedureisgraduatedin5?increments,itisnotpossibletoreadittothe2?Cequivalentincrementof3.6?F.Therefore,forthepurposesofapplicationoftheprocedureofthetestmethodfortheseparatetemperaturescalethermometers,differentincrementsmustbeused.Inthistestmethod,thefollowingprotocolhasbeenadopted:Whenatemperatureisintendedtobeaconvertedequivalent,itwillappearinparenthesesfollowingtheSIunit,forexample370?C(698?F).Whenatemperatureisintendedtobearationalizedunitforthealternatescale,itwillappearafter"or,"forexample,2?Cor5?F.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardsstatements,see6.4,7.1,9.3,9.4,11.1.2,11.1.4,11.1.8,and12.1.2.
