【摘要】:ThismethodforinvestigatingcreepruptureofFRPbarsisintendedforuseinlaboratorytestsinwhichtheprincipalvariableisthesizeortypeofFRPbars,magnitudeofappliedforce,anddurationofforceapplication.Unlikesteelreinforcingbarsorprestressingtendonssubjectedtosignificantsustainedstress,creepruptureofFRPbarsmaytakeplacebelowthestatictensilestrength.Therefore,thecreeprupturestrengthisanimportantfactorwhendeterminingacceptablestresslevelsinFRPbarsusedasreinforcementortendonsinconcretemembersdesignedtoresistsustainedloads.CreeprupturestrengthvariesaccordingtothetypeofFRPbarsused.ThistestmethodmeasuresthecreeprupturetimeofFRPbarsunderagivensetofcontrolledenvironmentalconditionsandforceratios.Thistestmethodisintendedtodeterminethecreeprupturedataformaterialspecifications,researchanddevelopment,qualityassurance,andstructuraldesignandanalysis.Theprimarytestresultisthemillion-hourcreeprupturecapacityofthespecimen.Creeppropertiesofreinforced,post-tensioned,orprestressedconcretestructuresareimportanttobeconsideredindesign.ForFRPbarsusedasreinforcingbarsortendons,thecreepruptureshallbemeasuredaccordingtothemethodgivenherein.1.1Thistestmethodoutlinesrequirementsfortensilecreeprupturetestingoffiberreinforcedpolymermatrix(FRP)compositebarscommonlyusedastensileelementsinreinforced,prestressed,orpost-tensionedconcrete.1.2DataobtainedfromthistestmethodareusedindesignofFRPreinforcementsundersustainedloading.Theprocedureforcalculatingtheone-millionhourcreep-rupturecapacityisprovidedin.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
